KY Supreme Court Hears Challenge to Pro-Life Laws

“These are the things which you should do: speak the truth to one another; judge with truth and judgment for peace in your gates.” – Zechariah 8:16

Today, the Kentucky Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in the exceedingly important case of Daniel Cameron v. EMW Women’s Surgical Center. In this highly significant case, our state’s high court will evaluate the abortion industry’s challenge to the Commonwealth’s pro-life laws which ban the termination of unborn children through abortion except when it is medically necessary to save the life of the mother.

It is nothing short of baffling that the pro-abortion side believes that somehow in the Kentucky Constitution there is an undisclosed right to abortion. Especially, given the fact that our Commonwealth has over a century-long track record of being pro-life.

While the defeat of Amendment 2, the pro-life Constitutional Amendment, was a missed opportunity to ensure activist judges don’t invent a right to abortion, the Constitution without a doubt never preserves or protects the egregious notion that preborn life does not deserve protection.

The Kentucky Supreme Court needs to “judge with truth” in this case and protect the precious “right to life” for the preborn.

LET US PRAY…
Father, please strengthen and empower Attorney General Cameron and his team as they present their argument before the KY Supreme Court today. Lord, help our Supreme Court to rule righteously in this case and protect Your precious creation of human life. Father, may Kentucky truly be a state where human life flourishes. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
