Let Us Pray

Veterans Day

“Not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” – Philippians 2:4

On Veterans Day, Americans take time to revere all those who have served in the United States military. These brave and admirable individuals deserve to be honored as they have exemplified extraordinary sacrifice in their efforts to defend the United States.

Those who have served in the various branches of the United States military have done so not seeking what is in their own best interest but rather looking to the interest of our great nation. In many ways, U.S. veterans embody what it means to be “selfless.”

This day also honors the “eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month” of 1918 that brought an end to World War 1.

It is because of the selfless service that our veterans have given to our nation that we experience the wonderful blessings of freedom in the greatest nation on earth. Set aside some time today to thank a veteran for the selfless service they have given to our nation.

LET US PRAY…
Father, we thank You, for all the veterans who have faithfully served our great nation. Lord, may you bless each veteran in a wonderful and powerful way. Father, we thank You, for the sacrifice of the families of these veterans as well as ask that You immensely bless them. Thank You, Lord, for those who are serving today, standing ready to defend and protect our freedom. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
