KY Students' Privacy Must be Protected!

“A woman shall not wear a man’s garment, nor shall a man put on a woman’s cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD your God.” – Deuteronomy 22:5

In the name of transgender ideology, Kentucky students who attend public schools are having their privacy sacrificed on the LGBTQ+ altar. Multiple public schools in our Commonwealth are allowing students to use restrooms, locker rooms, shower rooms, or overnight accommodations that correspond with their gender identity regardless of their biological sex.

In Woodford County, there was a recent incident that caused much alarm for parents as a biological male was going into the girl’s restrooms and thus invading the privacy of female students in the school district. Parents contacted the school district and school officials admitted that the district allows biological boys to use the girls’ restroom if requested. The decision to allow this was made without any formal review process, guidelines, or safeguards in place to protect students.

In a leaked email, Woodford County Public School officials and their attorney claim that this disturbing policy (with no safeguards for the safety and privacy of students) is being pushed by the Kentucky Department of Education and Kentucky School Boards Association.

Furthermore, these incidents have occurred and are occurring throughout the Commonwealth. Thankfully, in order to protect the privacy of Kentucky students and address this issue Rep. Bill Wesley has filed House Bill 30. This piece of legislation would ensure that students in Kentucky’s public schools could not use bathrooms, locker rooms, shower rooms, or overnight accommodations of the opposite biological sex at the same time that students of the opposite sex would be present. Students in the public school system in Kentucky must have their privacy protected and this bill is a great step forward to accomplishing that goal.

LET US PRAY…

Father, thank You for the courage Rep. Wesley has shown in sponsoring House Bill 30 which aims to protect the privacy of Kentucky students in the public school system. Lord, empower each and every Kentucky legislator to stand for truth and protect Kentucky students this session. Father, help our Commonwealth to honor Your creation of humanity, being either male or female. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
