Kentucky’s Trigger Law After One Year in Effect Yields Incredible Results

“So as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.” – Colossians 1:10

On the historic date of June 24, 2022, the United States Supreme Court rightly overturned the egregious 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization ruling. When Roe fell, the “Human Life Protection Act” immediately went into effect here in Kentucky.

The “Human Life Protection Act” also known as the “trigger” abortion ban prohibits abortions in Kentucky, and that prohibition started at the moment Roe was overturned. For just over a year now, Kentucky’s trigger law has been in effect, and we are witnessing the fruit that this God-honoring piece of legislation is bearing.

Praise be to God, in just a year, due to the trigger law being in effect, over four thousand babies and counting have been saved in the Commonwealth. What a tremendous victory to celebrate, thousands of children who bear the image of Almighty God have been allowed to live instead of being murdered in the womb.

May this serve as a sobering reminder that advocating and advancing God-honoring legislation will always produce good fruit in our Commonwealth. Although there is still much work to accomplish on the pro-life front, we praise God for the incredible results that have been yielded from the trigger law being in effect for a year.

LET US PRAY…

Father, we praise You for the thousands of lives that have been saved from abortion over the last year due to the trigger law. Lord, help us to advocate for more God-honoring legislation so that more good fruit will be produced in our Commonwealth. Father, may Your Name be honored and glorified in Kentucky. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
