Recently, Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman filed a lawsuit against Mayday Health, a New York-based nonprofit that tells people how to access abortion death pills. The activist group broke Kentucky law by illegally flying a banner over the Kentucky State Fair that read, “Abortion Pills By Mail.”
The lawsuit alleges that Mayday Health violated the Kentucky Consumer Protection Act, which outlaws deceptive or misleading communications with Kentuckians. Mayday Health is also breaking Kentucky law by advertising mail-order abortion death pills which are illegal in Kentucky. Abortion is illegal in Kentucky due to the Human Life Protection Act, the state’s trigger law that went into effect immediately after the Dobbs decision.
This is not the first encounter Attorney General Coleman has had with Mayday Health. At the beginning of the year, the Attorney General’s office announced an investigation into Mayday Health after the group had placed abortion death pill advertisements at six gas stations in Southwest Kentucky.
With these stunts, Mayday Health not only violated Kentucky law but also revealed how ridiculously off-base its mission is. At the Kentucky Fair, families from all over the state attend to spend time together, and here is an abortion activist group promoting a pill that destroys human life and thus destroys the family. As Attorney General Coleman fights to hold the abortion cartel accountable, it is time for the Kentucky General Assembly to step up and strengthen the criminal penalties for those who violate Kentucky’s pro-life laws and engage in abortion pill trafficking.

Father, we praise You for Attorney General Coleman and his team for taking action to help protect Kentucky from the abortion cartel. Lord, may this lawsuit against Mayday Health be successful and be used to hold the abortion industry accountable for breaking Kentucky’s laws. Father, may the Kentucky General Assembly step up to the plate in this next legislative session by strengthening the enforcement mechanisms for those who violate Kentucky’s pro-life laws. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
