Let Us Pray

“You shall teach them to your sons, talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up.” – Deut. 11:19

It is hard to grasp how quickly time seems to be moving as some school systems are on the brink of another school year starting, and others have already kicked off their new school year. We are now in the full swing of the “back to school” season and it remains important for parents to remember their Biblical mandate as their children start this fall semester.

Whether one’s child goes to public, private, charter, or any other form of school it is commanded throughout Scripture that parents are to be the primary teacher in their child’s life, not an educator. The truth is this, parents bare the ultimate responsibility in leading their children and teaching them the truth.

With the recent stunt by the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) in their release of the “toolkit” that encompasses instructions on how Kentucky educators should support those who identify as LGBTQI+, it only magnifies the reality that parents must be involved in what their children are being taught. The KDE is shamelessly promoting without reservation LGBTQI+ propaganda throughout Kentucky’s public schools.

Parents must understand that they will give an account before God of how they raised and taught their children. It is of utmost importance that parents step up and teach Biblical truth to their children so that they are ready, on guard, and resilient against any and every dangerous teaching that could come their way.

LET US PRAY…
Father, we pray for a safe and successful school year for the students across our nation as they head back to school. Lord, may parents rise to the occasion and teach Your truth to their children faithfully. Father, please protect vulnerable children from any teaching that contradicts Your Word. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
