The Family Foundation of Kentucky Releases 2025 Kentucky Family Legislative Scorecard

Legislators that scored 95% or above recognized as Kentucky Family Champions

LEXINGTON, KY – The Family Foundation of Kentucky (TFFKY) is excited to announce the release of its 2025 Kentucky Family Legislative Scorecard, based on Kentucky’s recently completed 2025 General Assembly. The scorecard compiles important legislative activity, including key votes and bill sponsorships, and measures how Kentucky legislators performed on the organization’s core issues of family, life, religious freedom, human sexuality, and human dignity.

The Kentucky Family Legislative Scorecard is the most comprehensive pro-family educational and accountability tool of its kind in the Commonwealth. The 2025 scorecard contains 19 votes in the Senate and 16 votes in the House, including votes on HB 495 to reverse Gov. Beshear’s “conversion therapy ban” executive order with language to protect tax dollars from paying for “gender transitions,” HJR 15 to restore the Ten Commandments monument to the Capitol grounds, HB 90 to bring additional clarity to Kentucky’s pro-life laws, HB 4 to ban DEI at public universities, and other notable votes on religious freedom, medical conscience rights, and more.

“The 2025 General Assembly achieved several commendable victories for Kentucky families with consequential votes on issues impacting religious freedom, parental rights, protecting children, and protecting taxpayers from subsidizing and promoting harmful and divisive ideologies. The Kentucky Family Legislative Scorecard is designed to be a helpful resource for Kentuckians to see how their legislators voted on these foundational issues so that even more Kentuckians can become informed and engaged citizens,” said David Walls, executive director of The Family Foundation of Kentucky. “We are grateful to all the Kentucky legislators and leadership in both chambers who diligently worked to help pass God-honoring laws this session that strengthen Kentucky families and the biblical values that make them strong.”
