Earlier this month, the U.S. Supreme Court temporarily restored wide-ranging access to the abortion death drug Mifepristone. This decision was made by the High Court to provisionally halt the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit’s decision. That decision rightly sided with Louisiana in the state’s lengthy legal battle to block the mail order abortion death pills.
The Food and Drug Administration’s 2023 rules were challenged by Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill. The challenge rightly argued that mail-order delivery of Mifepristone undermines state abortion bans and pro-life laws. It also endangers women due to the significant harm that the drug causes them.
It is worth noting that more than two-thirds of abortions nationwide are directly related to and caused by the abortion pill, Mifepristone. Despite all of this, the Supreme Court decided to once again temporarily halt the Fifth Circuit’s ruling and allow access to the abortion death pill by mail.
As the justices now have even more time to decide how to proceed in this case, let us pray that they will decide quickly to stop the access to Mifepristone through the mail. We must also pray that the Trump Administration and the FDA take long overdue action to revoke the entire authorization of the abortion death pill, ensuring that pro-life states like Kentucky can enforce their righteous laws that protect the preborn. Pre-born babies are being killed and mothers are being harmed every day they delay.
LET US PRAY…
Father, may each one of the Supreme Court justices sense Your conviction and rule righteously in this case to uphold the Fifth Circuit’s ruling to block the mail-order dispensing of the abortion death drug. Lord, we praise You for the Fifth Circuit’s right ruling on this issue that protects pre-born children and mothers. Father, may we be faithful, courageous, and fruitful advocates for the pre-born. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
