The Attempt to Move KY Backwards and Re-Legalize Abortion

“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” – Isaiah 43:18-19

Recently, in conjunction with the abortion giant, Planned Parenthood, Representative Lindsey Burke (D-Lexington) announced the filing of House Bill 428 and 429 which are pro-abortion bills. These bills intend to re-legalize abortion throughout the Commonwealth and advance abortion trafficking by assisting in orchestrating the killing of pre-born Kentuckians outside of the state.

These bills come after Senator David Yates (D-Louisville), with the help of Gov. Beshear, filed another pro-abortion bill, Senate Bill 99, earlier this legislative session. Senate Bill 99 would add rape and incest exceptions to the current pro-life laws here in Kentucky.

These pro-abortion bills would lead to the devastating killing of numerous pre-born children in Kentucky. The attempt to re-legalize abortion is an attempt to move the Commonwealth backward in protecting fundamental human rights.

Encouragingly, the pro-life majorities in the KY General Assembly are charting a path forward with pro-life policies that protect pre-born children and support mothers. There are multiple pro-life bills that have been filed that will continue to help Kentucky move forward in cultivating a culture of life here in Kentucky.

LET US PRAY…

Father, we pray that these pro-abortion bills will find no traction and will dissolve quickly. Lord, we pray for favor for the pro-life legislation that has been filed this session, and may the pro-life majorities overwhelmingly vote in favor of them. Father, empower our state to continue moving forward in cultivating a culture of life here in the Commonwealth. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
