Supreme Court to Hear Oral Arguments Today (November 1, 2021)

“Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy.” – Proverbs 31:9

Today, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on the United States v. Texas case. In this case, the Biden Administration is directly challenging Texas’ Senate Bill 8.

This Texas bill prohibits abortion once an unborn baby’s heartbeat is detectable. A baby’s heartbeat can be heard as early as five weeks into a pregnancy. This bill has had a direct impact on life in Texas, as hundreds of babies, every day in the Lone Star state are being protected from abortion and allowed to live.

In an unusual move, the high court expedited the oral arguments in this case revealing that it is fervently hoping to resolve the case quickly. This has caused some pro-life advocates to have a bit of anxiety as the Court has not scheduled oral arguments so quickly since a case in 2000.

It is possible that the U.S. Supreme Court could hand down a ruling on this case in just a few weeks. This is a pivotal case in protecting life in America. As this case hangs in the balance, we must earnestly pray for the Court to rule righteously as the Court’s decision will be monumental for life in our nation.

LET US PRAY . . .
Father, help the U.S. Supreme Court to judge righteously and to defend the right to life for the preborn in this case. Father, please help each Justice on the Court to see life as precious as You do. Father, may each Justice understand that they will one day give an account to You for the decisions they make. Help us, Lord, to do all we can to protect life here in Kentucky. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
