Let Us Pray

Veterans Day

“Not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” – Philippians 2:4

Tomorrow, Saturday, November 11, 2023, is a federal holiday here in the United States where Americans set aside time to pay respect to all of those who have served in our nation’s Armed Forces. United States veterans are courageous and admirable individuals who deserve to be revered as they have exemplified extraordinary sacrifice in their efforts to defend the United States.

Veterans can be defined in many honorable ways, but a term that always stand outs in characterizing them is “selfless.” Those who have served in the Armed Forces are not seeking what is in their own best interest, but rather looking to the interest of our great nation.

Without the dedication, faithfulness, sacrifice, and selflessness of our veterans, for generations, we would not be experiencing the enormous blessings we do today as Americans. For nearly 250 years, America, the beacon of freedom in the world, has been defended by our valiant veterans.

Our veterans have played an invaluable role in making the United States of America the greatest nation on the face of the earth. Set aside some time today to thank a veteran for the selfless service they have given to our nation.

LET US PRAY…
Father, we thank You, for all the veterans who have faithfully served our great nation. Lord, please bless each veteran in a wonderful and powerful way. Father, we thank You, for the sacrifice of the families of these veterans as well and pray that You will immensely bless them. Thank You, Lord, for those who are serving today, standing ready to defend and protect our freedom. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
