The Family Foundation recently launched the Kentucky Christian Education Network (KY CEN) with a mission to double the number of Kentucky families that have access to a Christian education as we serve and advocate for Christian schools across the Commonwealth.
For the first time, thanks to the new federal Educational Freedom Tax Credit and to Kentucky’s HB 1 that opts Kentucky in by law, Kentucky families and donors have a powerful new way to make a Gospel-centered education accessible to far more households — and to raise up a generation that knows and loves Him. We believe this is one of the most significant openings for the Great Commission that Christians in Kentucky have ever been given.
In addition to equipping schools to take full advantage of the tax credit through the Christian Education Network Scholarship Granting Organization (CEN SGO), KY CEN is committed to advocating in Frankfort to defend the religious freedom of Christian schools to operate according to their biblical beliefs, support parents’ right to direct their children’s education, and champion educational freedom.
With a daily presence in the Kentucky Capitol, KY CEN will be Christian schools’ partner in expanding and protecting Christian education across Kentucky. KY CEN supports initiatives that prevent the government from intruding on the right of Christian schools and homeschools to teach Gospel-centered principles. Christian schools should never have to compromise their convictions to have students participating in tax credits or other school choice programs.
If your Christian school is interesting in joining, they can apply for membership and join the Kentucky Christian Education Network at kycen.org.
LET US PRAY…
Father, please use the Kentucky Christian Education Network to powerfully advocate for school choice and religious freedom in education here in Kentucky. Lord, may this division of TFF lead to our Commonwealth offering real “true choice” to families. Father, may this initiative help ensure every Kentucky family has access to a Gospel-centered education. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
