Pregnancy Care Centers Threatened (July 20, 2022)

“But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and who called me by his grace.” – Galatians 1:15

On June 24, 2022, pro-life Americans celebrated the righteous decision of the United States Supreme Court on their ruling in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. This landmark decision overturned the long, gruesome, and murderous reign of Roe v. Wade that legalized abortion in 1973.

Immediately after this monumental ruling that returned the issue of abortion back to individual states, the “Human Life Protection Act” became the law of the land here in the Commonwealth. This piece of legislation, also known as the “trigger” abortion ban instantly went into effect which prohibits abortions in Kentucky unless the procedure is critical to saving the mother’s life.

After a lawsuit had been filed against the “Human Life Protection Act,” on July 22, 2022, an atrocious act of judicial activism was on full display when Jefferson County Circuit Court Judge Mitch Perry issued a temporary injunction halting the “trigger” ban. Thus, allowing the abortion mills in Kentucky to carry on and continue the wicked practice of abortion.

Thankfully, the Kentucky Court of Appeals has corrected this injustice and overruled the temporary injunction put in place by Judge Mitch Perry, which for now prohibits abortion in Kentucky once more. This is a wonderful triumph for life here in Kentucky. However, it undergirds the reality that Kentuckians must pass the “Yes for Life” Amendment on November 8 to ensure that an activist judge doesn’t make up a constitutional right to abortion.

LET US PRAY…
Father, thank You, for the Kentucky Court of Appeals decision to reinstate the “Human Life Protection Act” and the win it is here in Kentucky for life. Lord, empower each and every Kentuckian to go to the ballot box this November and cast a vote for righteousness concerning the “Yes for Life” Amendment. Father, help us to remain steadfast in our defense of human life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
