On August 10th, Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey (D) signed the dubiously named “Prioritizing Patient Access to Care Act” into law. The legislative measure removes already weak, late-term abortion restrictions that Massachusetts previously had in place. Unbelievably, the law will allow an abortion to take place, for any reason, right until the moment the baby is born.
Massachusetts is now the tenth state that has absolutely no restrictions on late-term abortions. The scene at Gov. Healey’s signing of this barbaric law was nothing short of gut-wrenching. Pro-abortion advocates surrounded her desk and joyfully cheered as she signed a law that will allow a preborn child to be brutally and savagely murdered at any time, for any reason, as long as they’re still inside their mother’s womb.
Dr. Christina Francis, a board-certified OBGYN and CEO of the American Association of Pro-Life OBGYNs, recently explained that there is absolutely no medical reason for the new Massachusetts law. She stated that third-trimester abortions are medically unnecessary. Dr. Francis explained that emergency C-sections take only minutes to perform and are much safer for mothers, eliminating the tremendous risks that are associated with late-term abortions. The idea that any abortion is necessary, especially after 24 weeks of pregnancy, is a demonic lie.
It should be noted that this Massachusetts law isn’t more evil than any other pro-abortion legislation. Killing a baby at any stage of development is barbaric and evil. This law, however, makes it clear that the abortion industry has nothing to do with protecting women’s health. Instead, it has everything to do with desecrating the image of God.
God created women to carry and care for their babies inside the womb and outside the womb. But due to the efforts of the abortion industry, increasingly babies are killed by the one who’s supposed to nurture them.

Father, we praise You as the giver and sustainer of life. Lord, please convict and enlighten all ten states that have laws such as this new Massachusetts law to see the wickedness that they have legalized. Father, strengthen us to stand for human life in every possible avenue that we can. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
