Tuesday, May 19, 2026, is the much-anticipated Kentucky Primary Election. The Primary Election here in Kentucky is immensely important for our Commonwealth. Kentuckians will be electing leaders who will determine the direction of our state and nation in the coming days.

Kentuckians will have an opportunity to cast votes for those running for federal, state, and local offices. There are more than 2,572 positions that will be filled by the election results.

As we go to the ballot box, we must remember the incredible blessing it is from Almighty God to get to vote for our leaders. May we not forget that it is a sacred privilege to be able to cast votes for those who will lead us. May we collectively take advantage of this wonderful right and responsibility by going out and voting.
Many think that primary election don’t really matter, but that isn’t true. Many times, primary elections are the most important election in determining who will represent you in elected office.

As we vote tomorrow in the races for U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, State Senate, State House of Representatives, and local elections, may we look to the Lord and ask Him for wisdom. We must vote for the people who are righteous in His sight and will lead in a way that brings Him honor.

The Biblical truth that we must keep at the forefront of our minds when we enter the ballot box is this: when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice, and when the wicked rule, the people suffer (Proverbs 29:2). Let us all seek God’s wisdom and cast votes for those who will lead righteously and bring honor to the Lord.

LET US PRAY…

Father, empower Kentuckians across our state to vote for candidates who will lead in a way that brings honor and glory to You. Lord, we thank You for the incredible blessing of living in a free nation where we have the joyful responsibility of choosing our leaders. Father, may tomorrow’s election place righteous leaders in high positions. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
