Your Support Helped Win a Huge U.S. Supreme Court Victory!

From our Exec. Director

I have great news and a huge answer to prayer to share!

Today, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in favor of Tennessee’s Help Not Harm law, which protects kids from receiving life-altering gender “transition” interventions. This historic ruling is a major victory for truth, common sense, and for protecting kids from harm.

The United States under the former Biden Administration, joined by the ACLU, had sued Tennessee (and originally Kentucky’s SB 150) to invalidate our state laws banning gender “transitions” on minors. But the Supreme Court resoundingly rejected their argument and in the majority opinion, Chief Justice Roberts wrote that gender identity is not an immutable characteristic, as well as confirming the biological reality that only women can become pregnant.

As I said in our statement celebrating today’s decision, for all of human history, the truth that the human person is objectively and profoundly male or female has been the cornerstone of all civilizations. It is not possible for an individual to change his gender, and thankfully kids can be protected from harmful experiments that attempt to do the impossible. This ruling will ensure that laws, like Kentucky’s SB 150, protecting children from permanent chemical and physical mutilation remain fully in effect.

Today’s ruling is also a major win for the policy and legal work of The Family Foundation, our alliance of state family policy councils, and for our national ally Family Policy Alliance as we jointly led the charge to pass Help Not Harm laws in 25 states (including Kentucky’s SB 150).

To date, 25 states have Help Not Harm-like laws (Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Idaho, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, Wyoming).

Your faithful financial support, prayers, and engagement allowed The Family Foundation to play an influential role in supporting SB 150 and providing legal arguments that made an impact in this monumental legal victory.

But even with this victory, we are at a critical moment in the fight to protect the hearts and minds of the next generation from dark and dangerous cultural tides and ideologies.

We must urge the remaining states and the federal government to align themselves with science, morality, and reality by passing similar laws to protect every American child from harmful and evil gender ideology. And we certainly have more to do here in Kentucky!

Your financial support helps ensure that The Family Foundation remains a steadfast and uncompromising voice for biblical truth — not just in the legislature and courtroom but in communities and churches across our great Commonwealth.

Thank you for partnering with us as we keep fighting for Kentucky families and the biblical values that make them strong!

Faithfully, in Christ,
