The Family Foundation of Kentucky Releases Kentucky Family Legislative Scorecard

KY legislators that scored 90% or above recognized as Kentucky Family Champions

LEXINGTON, KY – The Family Foundation of Kentucky is excited to announce the release of its first-ever legislative scorecard, the Kentucky Family Legislative Scorecard. The scorecard is based on Kentucky’s 2021 and recently completed 2022 Legislative Sessions. It compiles important legislative activity, including key votes and bill sponsorships, and measures how Kentucky legislators performed on the organization’s core issues of family, life, religious freedom, human sexuality, and human dignity.

The Kentucky Family Scorecard is the most comprehensive pro-family educational and accountability tool of its kind in the Commonwealth. The scorecard includes 27 votes in the Senate and 28 votes in the House, including votes on the Save Women’s Sports Act, the Church is Essential Act, multiple pro-life bills, and other key votes impacting parental rights, educational choice, gambling, and more.

“I hope that Kentuckians find this new resource to be a helpful tool to see how their legislators voted on foundational issues impacting faith, family, and freedom,” said David Walls, executive director of The Family Foundation of Kentucky. “We are grateful to all the Kentucky legislators that stood for Kentucky families and the values that make them strong.”

At kentuckyfamily.org/scorecard Kentuckians can click to view an interactive and searchable table for both the House and the Senate. For the 2021-2022 Scorecard, legislators that scored 90% (A) and above are recognized by The Family Foundation of Kentucky as a Kentucky Family Champion, and legislators that scored 85% and above (B+) are recognized as a Kentucky Family Advocate.
