Violence is Not the Answer (May 10, 2022)

“No longer will violence be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders, but you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.” – Isaiah 60:18

Wisconsin Family Action, which is our partner family policy council in Wisconsin, has been working for its state’s legislature and the federal government to outlaw abortions.

Unfortunately, due to the group’s unwavering pro-life stance, its headquarters was attacked by those who desire to see Roe v. Wade protected.

This event took place just a week after the leak of a draft opinion was released concerning the Dobbs case in which the U.S. Supreme Court seems ready to strike down Roe.

In Madison, the local police are investigating a fire that broke out on Sunday at the organization’s office building, which is likely an act of arson. Thankfully, no one was in the building at the time of the attack, and thus no one was hurt in the incident.

Those who vandalized the building also left a very disturbing message. The message read, “If abortions aren’t safe then you aren’t either.” This is simply appalling, there is no place in America for disagreements to turn into threats of violence.

May those working to protect life in our nation never cower to the threats of those who are acting in direct opposition to the Word of God. Let us stand strong and courageously, come whatever may from those who oppose the Biblical values that our wonderful nation was founded on.

LET US PRAY…
Father, thank You that no one was hurt in this senseless act of violence perpetrated toward Wisconsin Family Action. Father, embolden them to stand stronger than ever for life in their state and nation. Lord, help us, in Kentucky to never fear when we are standing for Your truth. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
