Two Important Bills That Protect KY Children Before the General Assembly

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.” – Matthew 18:10

Before the Kentucky General Assembly right now stands, two critically important bills that will provide much-needed protection for children in the Commonwealth. As these two measures have been introduced in the 2023 legislative session, the General Assembly not only has the opportunity to act on these bills but has a moral obligation to act, so that innocent children will be protected here in Kentucky.

One of these important bills is House Bill 470, the “Do No Harm Act.” This legislative measure helps to protect vulnerable children here in the Commonwealth from dangerous “gender transition” procedures. This bill prohibits “sex change” procedures, which include puberty-blocking drugs, cross-sex hormones, and surgical methods from being used on Kentucky children which can cause lifelong damage.

The other key bill that will provide protection for Kentucky children is Senate Bill 115. This legislative act will prohibit explicit sexual performances such as drag shows where children could view them at schools, libraries, etc. This bill will make sure that adult sexual performances will not be allowed to target children.

Children are extremely precious to God (Matt. 18:6), and the Kentucky General Assembly has an incredible opportunity to pass these two important bills that will protect their innocence and purity. Kentucky’s children deserve to be sheltered from experimental “gender transition” procedures and from targeted hypersexual performances.

LET US PRAY…
Father, empower the Kentucky General Assembly to act with courage and pass both House Bill 470 and Senate Bill 115. Lord, may Kentucky children be protected from the damaging effects of experimental “transition procedures” and from targeted hypersexual performances. Father, thank You for the precious gift of children You give us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
