For some time, government schools throughout our nation have participated in the Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP). PREP is an initiative within states’ public schools to “educate youth and young adults on both abstinence and contraception to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV/AIDS, and promote successful transition of youth to adulthood.” It is questionable whether the federal government should even operate such a program in the first place.
Recent news about PREP shows the dangers of such a program. With support from the Biden Administration, PREP has been used by LGBT activists to push their radical worldview upon the youth of our public schools. This has especially been the case here in Kentucky, as the Beshear Administration has encouraged PREP in our public schools to push a radical gender ideology on our young students.
PREP is federally funded, and thankfully, the Trump Administration has officially put states on notice that if they want the funding for their PREP initiatives, they must eliminate gender ideology from their educational materials. In a report from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), it revealed that 46 states and territories include gender ideology in their PREP programs, and sadly, one of those states is Kentucky.
The HHS directly sent a letter to the Beshear Administration outlining specific content in its PREP materials that pushes gender ideology, which is a violation of federal statute. Acting HHS Assistant Secretary Andrew Gradison correctly stated on this issue, “Federal funds will not be used to poison the minds of the next generation or advance dangerous ideological agendas.” The Beshear Administration needs to eliminate gender ideology from educational materials in our public schools immediately, as young and vulnerable minds do not need to be pushed to adopt that radical and upside-down worldview.

Father, please open the eyes of the Beshear Administration to the sinfulness of the LGBT worldview, and may they eliminate gender ideology materials from our public schools. Lord, we praise You for President Trump and his Administration’s actions to fight gender ideology. Father, may we be a righteous influence on our nation as we know that “righteousness exalts a nation.” In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
