Recently, the U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Marty Makary announced that the FDA will conduct an investigative review on the abortion pill, Mifepristone, to examine “the safety and efficacy of the drug.” The investigation comes on the heels of a joint letter sent by twenty-two state Attorneys General to the Trump Administration pleading for the reversal of Biden’s pro-death policies by stopping the selling and mailing of the dangerous abortion pill, and to reinstate safety regulations on it.
Days ago, however, as the FDA is in the midst of investigating the overwhelming amount of evidence that reveals the destructive, damaging nature of the abortion pill, Mifepristone, the department has taken a confusing and contradictory posture. The FDA in a perplexing move has now just approved a generic abortion pill.
Sadly, on September 30th, the FDA approved Evita Solutions’ application for a generic form of the abortion pill, Mifepristone. The FDA found the generic abortion pill to be “bioequivalent and therapeutically equivalent” to Mifeprex, the name-brand pill.
Earlier this year, the Ethics and Public Policy Center (EPPC) released a new groundbreaking study revealing the dangers associated with chemical abortions. The research by EPPC is the largest study ever conducted on the abortion pill, and it found that nearly 11% of those who have an abortion using Mifepristone suffer from extremely serious life-threatening conditions such as sepsis, infection, or hemorrhaging. The research was conducted during the years 2017 and 2023, and it revealed that women are 22 times more likely to be harmed by the abortion pill than the FDA suggests.
The FDA should never approve a drug solely designed to murder an innocent human being. The FDA’s approval of the generic abortion pill while an investigative review of Mifepristone is underway is tragic, irresponsible, and contradictory.

Father, please empower Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and FDA Commissioner Marty Makary to immediately reverse their decision to approve the generic abortion pill. Lord, help the policymakers in the Trump Administration understand why we must completely ban chemical abortions. Father, empower the FDA to use its findings to protect preborn children and women from the dangerous, destructive, and deadly drug. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
