“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” – Romans 12:21
The Texas state legislature, during a special session, has recently passed a much-needed bill to protect the privacy and dignity of girls and women in the Lone Star State. Governor Abbott of Texas publicly threw his support behind the important bill, the “Texas Women’s Privacy Act,” Senate Bill 8, and called on the Texas House and Senate to pass the legislative measure, which both did, during the special session that recently adjourned.
The Texas Women’s Privacy Act makes sure that girls and women no longer have to live in fear of having their personal and private spaces invaded by biological males who claim to “identify” as females. This bill makes it absolutely clear in state law that girls and women are protected in their sex separated spaces.
Now, throughout Texas, no little girl or adult woman has to live in fear when they are using public showers, locker rooms, domestic violence shelters, or prisons. This legislative victory is a massive win for the respect, dignity, and protection of women, and for simple commonsense.
Texas becomes the 20th state in the nation to pass such a law. The reality is that when biological males are allowed into women’s personal spaces in the name of transgender ideology, women suffer greatly on many fronts. State Sen. Lindsey Tichenor has introduced similar legislation as the Texas bill the last two legislative sessions. Unfortunately, neither of those bills received a committee hearing, killing them before they got any traction. We urge the General Assembly to make this legislation a priority in the 2026 session.
LET US PRAY…
Father, we praise You that in Texas, girls and women now have their personal and private spaces protected. Lord, may laws like this one continue to be passed in every state of our nation. Father, we praise You that truth and common sense are winning here in the United States. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
