“Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them.” – Jeremiah 1:17
Tomorrow, March 30, 2023, marks the official end of the 2023 Kentucky Legislative Session. One of the highlights of this legislative session was the passing of the immensely important Senate Bill 150 which provides many needed and important protections for Kentucky parents and children.
This key legislative measure includes powerful protections for parental rights, protects children by prohibiting age-inappropriate promotion of sexual orientation & gender identity topics, safeguards student privacy in intimate facilities, and protects kids from permanent harm of “gender transition” interventions. Unfortunately, recently, Gov. Beshear decided to put radical sexual ideology above protecting kids and parents and vetoed the bill.
In response, today, The Family Foundation at 11:00 AM ET at the Kentucky Capitol will host a “Press Conference and Rally” aimed at urging the KY General Assembly to override Gov. Beshear’s veto of Senate Bill 150. At the event, multiple key legislators who were integral in passing Senate Bill 150 will be speaking.
Also, the event will feature Walt Heyer, who for eight years identified as a transgender woman, but now after de-transitioning passionately helps others who regret “sex-change.” The Kentucky General Assembly, simply put, has a moral obligation to override the Governor’s veto of Senate Bill 150 to ensure that kids in the Commonwealth are protected and that parents are empowered.
LET US PRAY…
Father, please empower us to “stand up and say to them whatever You command us to say” today. Lord, help the KY General Assembly to quickly and efficiently override Gov. Beshear’s veto of Senate Bill 150. Father, may we always be found faithful in standing strong for You and Your truth. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
