Let Us Pray: SCOTUS to Hear Save Women’s Sports Case Arguments Tomorrow

“Do what is right and good in the Lord’s sight, so that it may go well with you and you may go in and take over the good land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors.” – Deuteronomy 6:18

Over the last few years, radical transgender ideology has crept into nearly every area of life, including sports. The ridiculous ideology has, unfortunately, led to males identifying as “females” and invading women’s sports. Sadly, the invasion has caused great destruction to women’s sports as men have stolen scholarships, medals, championships, and privacy from the women and girls who rightfully deserve them.

This is why in 2020; the Idaho state legislature passed the “Fairness in Women’s Sports Act” to protect girls’ sports from being infiltrated by males who identify as “transgender females.” In this same manner, to also protect girls’ sports in The Mountain State, the West Virginia state legislature passed the “Save Women’s Sports Act” in 2021. Unfortunately, over the last few years, transgender activists have targeted these laws by challenging them in court.

Regrettably, activist judges struck down both of these laws—the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit ruling against the West Virginia law, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit halting Idaho’s law from going into effect. Due to these rulings, Idaho and West Virginia, with the help of attorneys from Alliance Defending Freedom, were forced to petition the High Court to hear the cases, and, thankfully, back in July, it agreed to do so.

Tomorrow, the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on these important cases. The Family Foundation will have team members present at the Supreme Court for the arguments to support the Save Women’s Sports laws. The Supreme Court’s decision on these state laws will likely have far-reaching implications across the country, including here in Kentucky, on whether or not states can protect girls’ sports from biological males invading and destroying female athletics.

As we begin our “Let Us Pray” devotionals for 2026, we will be taking time during the legislative session to encourage you to pray, by name, for our elected leaders (see below). Let us commit to praying regularly for our Kentucky governmental leaders to act in ways that bring honor and glory to Jesus Christ and are a blessing to our Commonwealth.

LET US PRAY…

Father, please strengthen all those who will be arguing in front of the Supreme Court on behalf of the laws to protect girls’ sports, so that they may be persuasive and precise. Lord, empower each member of the Supreme Court to have Your wisdom and insight as they consider this exceedingly important case. Father, may states across our nation, including here in Kentucky, be allowed to protect female athletes and sports from the erroneous transgender ideology. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
