Pushing False Narratives is in the Left's DNA (March 16, 2022)

“You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.” – Exodus 20:16

It seems that it is so ingrained in the left to push false narratives when it comes to good pro-life, pro-family, and pro-religious liberty legislation that it is in their very makeup, their DNA. This reality was once again highlighted in the recent events surrounding Florida’s HB 1557, the “Parental Rights in Education Act.”

HB 1557 has passed both the Florida House and Senate, and now awaits Gov. DeSantis’ signature that he has pledged to give. This legislation simply states that young children in the public school system will not be exposed to classroom teachings or discussions pertaining to sexual orientation and gender identity.

The bill states, “Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade three or in a manner that is not age appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.” This bill gives parents in Florida the assurance that they can send their young children to school without the fear that their children will have LGBTQ+ ideologies shoved down their throats.

The left, the LGBTQ+ lobby, once again has tried to do what they do best by distorting and pushing a false narrative about this bill. They have falsely named this legislation the “Don’t Say Gay” bill. There is absolutely no mention of “don’t say gay” in the bill or of this type of thinking in the bill at all. This bill simply protects parental authority and allows parents to fully understand what their children are being taught.

Many major corporations, such as Disney in this situation, align and defend the far-left’s false narratives. Disney has built an empire by centering its efforts around families yet is publicly in the corner of the left trying to undercut parental authority. Gov. DeSantis addressed Disney’s hypocrisy clearly when he said, “When you have companies that have made a fortune off being family friendly and catering to families and young kids, they should understand that parents of young kids do not want this injected into their kids’ kindergarten classroom.”

LET US PRAY . . .
Father, we praise You, for the courage of Florida’s legislature and governor for their defense of parental rights. Lord, empower the Kentucky legislature to pass the “Parents’ Rights Protection Act” this session that will protect parental authority here in the Commonwealth. Father, help our nation to understand that You have given parents alone the authority to raise their children in Your truth. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
