Let Us Pray

Presidents' Day (February 21, 2022)

“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.” – Romans 13:1

Today, Monday, February 21, 2022, America pauses to celebrate Presidents’ Day. This federal holiday is celebrated annually on the third Monday of every February.

Presidents’ Day is an opportunity for Americans to look back over the history of our wonderful nation and honor those who have served in the office of Commander in Chief. Let us be filled with gratitude and let us thank God for the men who have led this great nation through some of the darkest moments in history.

Without the enduring visions of our Presidents, especially those who served when America was very young, our nation would not be the shining light on a hill that it is today. May we observe, honor, and learn from the legacies of the men who have faithfully led our nation.

Let us never forget, that it is ultimately God who establishes those who are in positions of governing authority. Let us pray for our President today with confidence knowing that God holds the hearts of kings in His hand and that he can turn their hearts whenever and however He chooses (Proverbs 21:1).

LET US PRAY . . .
Father, Thank You, for the men You have chosen to lead our nation. Father, we praise You, for the legacy that many of our Presidents’ have left on our nation. Lord, we pray for President Biden, please turn his heart toward You. Lord, may many more U.S. Presidents be individuals who desire to honor and glorify You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
