Let Us Pray: Pastor John MacArthur Enters Glory

“His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’” – Matthew 25:23

On July 14, 2025, preaching-giant, Pastor John MacArthur (1939-2025) entered into eternal glory after an incredible life of faithfulness and ministry service. Since 1969, John MacArthur pastored Grace Community Church, a nondenominational church in Sun Valley, California, where he faithfully preached the Word of God week after week.

MacArthur had a robust writing ministry; he authored or edited over 150 books providing rich resources for fellow pastors, churches, and believers. Notably, he produced the MacArthur Study Bible that is widely used and has sold over 1 million copies.

In addition to his duties as pastor of Grace Community Church, MacArthur has served for decades as president of The Master’s University. In 1986, MacArthur founded The Master’s Seminary, which is a graduate school dedicated to training those called to ministry work. He served as the chancellor of the seminary until his death.

Pastor MacArthur’s influence on American Christianity cannot be overstated. His preaching will be greatly missed as he was truly anointed by God to deliver the truth of God’s Word. Rev. Franklin Graham observed, “He could get more out of a Bible verse than anyone I’ve ever seen.”

LET US PRAY…

Father, we thank You for the faithful life and ministry of Pastor John MacArthur and the undeniable impact he had for the Gospel. Lord, may his legacy continue through the faithful work of his recorded sermons, books, Grace Community Church, The Master’s University and Seminary, and more. Father, empower us to live our lives in such a way that it will glorify You as well. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
