Let Us Pray: Live Out Your Faith

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” – Galatians 2:20

Not once in the Bible is there a single command for a believer in Christ to be a private follower of the Lord, rather than a public one. Nowhere in the Scriptures are believers in Christ called to be secret or undercover agents.

Those who put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ for their salvation are commanded to publicly confess Him as Lord, and to also publicly live for Christ as He now resides in them. A Christian’s Biblical mandate is to bear a public witness for the Lord in every aspect of life.

In front of one’s family, at a workplace, in the public square, in all places and at all times, followers of Christ are to live out the principles and teachings of the Christian faith. This means in every situation that believers find themselves in, they act in accordance with the Scriptures, courageously speaking the truth in love.

Admittedly, there are times when publicly bearing witness for the Lord is difficult. The good news is, however, that when Christ saves someone, He lives in them by filling them with His Spirit, which gives the believer all the strength that will ever be needed to be a faithful witness for Him.

Be encouraged, believer, it is no longer you who lives, but Christ who lives in you, and through His strength we can accomplish all that He desires for our lives, which includes publicly bearing a faithful, courageous, and bold witness for Him.

LET US PRAY…

Father, thank You for the indescribable blessing of salvation. Lord, thank You that we have Your Spirit living within us, empowering us to accomplish all that You desire for our lives if we are simply obedient. Father, may we publicly bear a faithful witness for You.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
