KY's Chamber of Commerce's Real Mission (December 8, 2021)

“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” – Galatians 5:13

The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce states that its mission centers around uniting businesses within the state and expanding the business community in the Commonwealth. This might have been its mission when the organization started over 75 years ago, but now over the last several years, it has become clear this is not the real mission for the Chamber anymore.

Over the last several years the Kentucky Chamber has proven that its real mission is to oppose religious freedom. Since 2017, the Kentucky Chamber has focused a lot of its legislative efforts to restrict religious liberty.

In the recent past, the Chamber has consistently insulted religious Kentuckians by maligning their consciences and faith as a cover for discrimination. The Chamber recently released its 2022 legislative agenda, and it reveals that the Chamber will once again double down on its efforts to oppose any legislation that would protect a business owner’s right to operate according to their religious convictions or conscience.

The KY Chamber has revealed its true colors and shown that it could care less about Americans’ First Amendment right to religious freedom.

LET US PRAY . . .
Father, thank You for giving us the right to worship You freely without fear of being persecuted. Lord, help us, to always defend and protect our right to religious freedom. Father, may the efforts of the KY Chamber in this upcoming legislative session be in vain. Help us, Lord, to use our freedom to bring glory to You in our nation. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
