Let Us Pray

Let Us Pray: June is Fidelity Month

“Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” – Proverbs 16:18

The month of June has been designated by some across our nation as “Pride Month.” So-called “Pride Month” is a calendar month set aside for some to celebrate the LGBTQ+ culture and community.

However, praise the Lord, over the last couple of years there has been an obvious and significant downward trend in the celebration of “Pride Month” across the nation. This is in part due to “Pride” celebrations like festivals and a variety of other events, not being able to find the funding needed.

Largely, “Pride” celebrations were funded in previous years by major American corporations, but currently, those companies are not supplying funds for “Pride” initiatives anymore. Thankfully, we are witnessing a massive retreat of DEI initiatives from major corporations in America, and we are also witnessing a full-blown withdrawal of these corporations sponsoring “Pride” celebrations during June.

As “Pride Month” is losing significant steam, Fidelity Month for June is gaining great momentum. The idea of Fidelity Month was first brought forth by Robert P. George, a Princeton law professor and great thinker, as a month for Americans to recommit to the most important relationships they have.

These are the relationships we have with God, a spouse, children, church, and country. Let us recognize June as a Fidelity Month, and as a time to celebrate faithfulness to God, one’s spouse, children, church, and more. Let us as a collective nation celebrate fidelity as it leads a nation to become strong and prosperous and may we as a nation leave pride in the past which only leads a country to destruction.

LET US PRAY…

Father, please reveal to those who are actively celebrating “Pride Month” that in actuality they are celebrating sin. Lord, we praise You for the full-blown retreat from supporting “Pride” celebrations by the numerous major corporations across America. Father, may the month of June be collectively understood by our nation as a time to celebrate fidelity. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
