Let Us Pray: Detransitioner Wins Historic Case Over Gender Mutilating Procedures

Recently, a New York jury, awarded a settlement of $2 million to a victim of “gender-affirming care.” The case centered around a detransitioner named Fox Varian, who at the tender age of fifteen started questioning her female identity as she was in counseling sessions with her psychologist, Kenneth Einhorn.

Varian was rushed through her counseling sessions and assisted in her rapid social transition. Then sadly, at the age of sixteen, she received a double mastectomy, performed by Dr. Simon Chin. Varian only had 2 thirty-minute meetings with Chin before he rushed her through the mutilating surgery. The court found that Varian was a victim of malpractice as both Kenneth Einhorn and Simon Chin ignored her very evident mental health problems, left them untreated, and rushed her through the transition process.

It must be noted that the New York jury did not rule against transgender procedures or “gender-affirming care.” Rather they said Varian was failed by the medical professionals in this specific case, since they did not evaluate her closely enough before putting her through the transitioning process. Varian now embraces her biological makeup as a woman, but sadly, will live the rest of her life with physical and emotional scars from being used by the transgender movement.

This is an exceedingly important ruling that will have a major impact on the nearly 30 civil lawsuits just like it in the days ahead. Hopefully, the financial implications of this case will cause medical professionals and institutions to think twice before putting minors through these life-altering transition procedures.

Praise be to God that in Kentucky, Senate Bill 150 protects the youth of our Commonwealth from these destructive gender transition procedures. Also, the law opens the statute of limitations for minors harmed by these procedures so they can sue medical providers who preyed upon them, like they did Fox Varian.

For our “Let Us Pray” devotionals during the 2026 KY General Assembly, we will be taking time during the legislative session to encourage you to pray, by name, for our elected leaders (see below). Let us commit to praying regularly for our Kentucky governmental leaders to act in ways that bring honor and glory to Jesus Christ and are a blessing to our Commonwealth.

LET US PRAY…

Father, we praise You for this decision by a New York jury that correctly ruled that Fox Varian was a victim of medical malpractice in the name of “gender-affirming care.” Lord, may this decision have an immense impact on the other similar lawsuits that are currently ongoing. Father, may one day, “gender-affirming care” be no more in America. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Join us in praying for our elected leaders throughout  the 2026 Legislative Session!
