Let Us Pray

Church is Essential (February 24, 2022)

“And He [Jesus] said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment.” – Matthew 22:37-38

TODAY at 12 PM, the Church is Essential Act, HB 43 by Rep. Baker, will be heard in the House State Government Committee. The hearing will be held in the Capitol Annex Room 154.

HB 43 is in response to the many attacks on our religious liberty during the last two years. Unfortunately, we have seen such attacks on religious liberty become more real and prevalent than ever before.

Kentucky State Police took down the license plates of those that attended Easter services. and a Kentucky church was even forced to file a lawsuit challenging Governor Andy Beshear’s orders that prohibited in-person church services and threatened criminal penalties.

HB 43 seeks to protect the fundamental human right of Kentuckians to worship and exercise their faith, especially during times of crisis and emergencies.

LET US PRAY . . .
Father, thank You that we live in a country that has traditionally honored religious freedom and enshrines it in the U.S. Constitution. Please help us protect those freedoms in Kentucky. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
