“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 15:13
Across the United States, tomorrow, Americans will observe and participate in the 74th annual National Day of Prayer. The first Thursday in May of each year has been set aside to observe the National Day of Prayer in the United States since 1952.
The mission behind the National Day of Prayer is to mobilize unified public prayer for America. Our nation right now is facing multifaceted complexities, difficulties, and challenges and what we need most is a powerful move of God.
May we as a nation truly seek the face of God tomorrow in collective prayer asking the Lord to bless our land as we confidently know that God is more than able to grant any request that we bring to Him (Mark 11:24). Tomorrow, across America, and across our Commonwealth, there will be public gatherings at City Halls, Courthouses, Churches, and other venues to pray to God for our nation.
Members of The Family Foundation team will be attending various prayer gatherings throughout the state, and we encourage you to do the same. The theme of this year’s National Day of Prayer comes from Romans 15:13 and it is, “Pour Out to the God of Hope and Be Filled.” May we as Americans truly pour out our hearts to God in prayer tomorrow and be filled with the Holy Spirit so that we may powerfully shine the hope of Jesus Christ to our nation.
LET US PRAY…
Father, thank You that we can pray to You in confidence knowing that You will answer our request according to Your perfect wisdom. Lord, please bless our land, bring healing to our nation, and fill us with Your Spirit. Father, may Your Name be lifted high today and honored all across America. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
