Let Us Pray

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:9-10

Abortion and the difficult circumstances that can face unwanted children that end up in foster care recently came into focus, when Olympic gymnast Simone Biles talked about being pro-abortion because of her experience in foster care.

Tori Hope Petersen also spent time in foster care, living in 12 different homes before aging out of the system at 18. Though she has lived through the challenges of foster care, she is adamant that it is not a reason to abort a preborn child.

“Foster care is really hard. It is, to this day, probably the hardest thing I’ve ever been through.” Petersen went on to explain, “We need to end the injustice and the suffering, not end the life of the potential sufferer.”

Petersen is now 25 yrs old, married with two biological children and an adopted young adult son, and serves as a foster parent. She also started a ministry that collects the stories of foster children to encourage those in the system. This summer, Petersen also became Mrs. Universe 2022.

She uses her platform to spread her pro-life message and experience. Despite being the product of rape and facing a difficult life in foster care, she is thankful her life was spared and uses her experience to fulfill God’s pro-life calling.

LET US PRAY . . .
Father, thank You for saving Ms. Petersen’s life and sustaining her through the many difficult days. Give each of us the courage we need to fulfill the good works you have prepared for us to do, to Your glory. We pray towards an abortion-free America with eager anticipation. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
