Gov. Beshear’s KDE Continues to Push LGBTQ Ideology on KY’s Children

“Let us behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy.” – Romans 13:13

One of the biggest wins during this year’s legislative session here in Kentucky was the final passage of Senate Bill 150. The Kentucky General Assembly with this piece of legislation, without any doubt, prohibited schools from teaching elementary-age children in human sexuality or teaching any child, regardless of grade level, in gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation.

There was absolutely no ambiguity about the intent and meaning of Senate Bill 150 as legislators, activists, and the media fully understood its tenets. As a matter of fact, the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) clearly understood Senate Bill 150 because they issued guidance on the law on April 17th stating as much.

Gov. Beshear’s KDE is doing everything it can not to implement Senate Bill 150. That is why they have recently revised their guidance, in a completely erroneous interpretation of SB150, to allow schools to teach Kentucky’s children in LGBTQ propaganda at any age.

Instead of Gov. Beshear and the Kentucky Department of Education faithfully upholding and adhering to the law enacted during this legislative session, they are bent on pushing LGBTQ ideology on children regardless of the clear language in SB 150 prohibiting it. Gov. Beshear and his Department of Education should be focused on truly helping educate Kentucky’s children and not shoving LGBTQ ideologies down their throats.

LET US PRAY…

Father, please protect Kentucky children from these radical LGBTQ ideologies that Gov. Beshear’s KDE is trying to force on them. Lord, may this situation be resolved quickly, and may the true intent of SB 150 stand. Father, empower us to continue to stand for Your truth on human sexuality in a powerful way. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
