LOUISVILLE, KY – The Colson Center recently partnered with Alliance Defending Freedom and other Christian groups to launch the Identity Project, a video platform with over 200 videos on topics like identity, parenting, and sexuality. The Family Foundation attended a press conference in Louisville, KY, where the Identity Project was announced. With American culture moving further from Biblical truths on moral issues, the Identity Project is designed to provide instruction on moral topics involving identity from the Biblical perspective.
A 2023 study found that 31% of Americans oppose parental opt outs from instruction on sexuality and gender identity in public schools. That study also found that 24% of elementary, 35% of middle, and 45% of high school teachers support teaching that a child can be a different gender than his biological sex. The U.S. Supreme Court is currently considering these issues in the Mahmoud v. Taylor case that it will decide this month.
The resources included in the Identity Project can be used by parents, pastors, teachers, counselors, etc. to ensure that their conversions about issues surrounding identity are grounded in Biblical truth given to us by the Lord.
“Our culture is flooded with voices, and Christians are struggling to know how to raise their kids with a healthy identity, how to minister to those experiencing same-sex attraction, and how to love their neighbors who have a broken view of identity,” said Pete Marra, Chief Operating Officer of The Colson Center. “The Identity Project allows Christians to hear from experts who prioritize Biblical truth over cultural ideologies.”
“We are thankful for the Colston Center making this important resource available to Christian families. Far too often, the world seeks to spread false ideologies that are in direct conflict with Scripture,” said David Walls, Executive Director of The Family Foundation. “The Identity Project gives parents, pastors, and other Christian leaders resources to fight back against these false ideologies and helps them properly teach the younger generations about important topics surrounding identity. We encourage our supporters to utilize this great resource in their homes, churches, and schools.”
Thanks to generous donors, the Identity Project’s resources are free of charge for all users. To watch over 200 free, Biblically grounded videos on identity, visit IdentityProject.tv.
