LET US PRAY

Help Not Harm (September 3, 2021)
“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.” – Mark 9:42

This week, The Family Foundation joined Family Policy Alliance and our alliance of state-based family policy councils in launching a nationwide “Help Not Harm” initiative.

The project aims to multiply the number of states that legally protect children from the damage of transgender interventions. Currently, only two states have such protections – Arkansas and Tennessee.

The transition procedures, that the transgender advocates are pushing on children who experience gender dysphoria are extremely dangerous and will permanently alter their bodies. These procedures include puberty blockers, hormone therapy, and surgical mutilation.

Our Lord, Jesus Christ, is crystal clear on how He strongly disapproves of those who cause children to sin (Mark 9:42). Those pushing forth the transgender agenda need to understand they are causing children to sin by advocating for those suffering from gender dysphoria to mutilate and permanently mar the image of God in which they were created.

Transgender activists should realize they are on shaky ground before God, as God has a special love for children (Matt.19:14) and will deal with those who try to prey on them.

LET US PRAY . . .
Father, please protect children who are struggling with gender dysphoria from these harmful and dangerous transgender procedures. Lord, help the children of Kentucky and America to understand that You have created them with the perfect biological make up for a wonderful life. Father, give our lawmakers here in Kentucky the courage to pass legislation to help children in need and to protect them from harm. Lord, open the eyes of transgender activists who are pushing these procedures on vulnerable children to see the truth that they are causing little ones to sin. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
