Did Your Legislators Vote Pro-Life?

In 5 days, this KY General Assembly accomplished more for the pro-life cause than had been accomplished in the last decade plus!

SB 5, which banned abortions after 20 weeks, and HB 2, which requires that every woman be given the opportunity to see her ultrasound before an abortion, passed the General Assembly overwhelmingly. Both were signed by Gov. Bevin and are now Kentucky law.

If you want to thank your legislators for how they voted on these pieces of legislation, check out their votes below and then call 1-800-372-7181.

SB 5 (Passed the Senate 30-6 and House 79-15)

SB 5 bans abortions after 20 weeks in response to evidence that an unborn child can feel pain after this age of development and the Commonwealth has an interest in preventing the pain caused by an abortion. It does provide an exception for if the woman’s life is in danger.

HB 2 (Passed the House 83-12 and Senate 32-5)

HB 2 is “The Ultrasound Bill” which requires that women have the opportunity to see their ultrasounds before an abortion so they can make an informed decision.
